REAL HUNTS begin at 12:00 hours, following an easier outside ride of 2 x 1 hour horse riding a more difficult one, about 45 minutes horse riding with fences and natural obstacles. You are free to jump or too pass for the fences/obstacles.
Between the easier and the the more difficult ride there is a break and you can have something to eat and to drink, such as gluehwein or perhaps, to get warm, something more powerfull. If desired you also can pass for the more difficult ride.
In additional there is the "FOX" hunt for every rider. A foxtail is fastened to the right shoulder of a good rider with a fresh horse. The 30 to 50 riders joining the hunt
now attempt to catch the "FOX" at full gallop, and this over a large area of terrain. If you catch the fox you have to buy a round for all. After taking care of the horses there is the tradional Hubertus party upto early morning. |
